Thought For The Day –  Monday 27th June 2022

A New Journey

The final external examinations this academic year at TBSHS, Polish and Portuguese, are today.  The national examination contingency day, on Wednesday, will not be required.

Thank you to all the students who have sat examinations this academic year, especially those who sat the first externally set and marked examinations since 2019. At any time, tests are a test.  The standard is the standard.  One Year 11 student shared that he had sat twenty-four examination papers in total in May and June.  “Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations”.  Thank you to all students  for the resilience, responsibility, respect and rigour demonstrated, taking every day at a time.

We are very grateful to Dr.  Luppi and Mrs.  Pretious-White , and the meticulous team of examination invigilators and support staff,  without whom no examinations  would be possible.

Thank you to students, staff and parents  for all their care and commitment,  work which often no one sees. A particular thank you to parents for everything parents do.

External examination candidates should safely enjoy a well-deserved summer, looking after others and themselves, knowing they gave their best. We look forward to seeing future sixth formers later this week for Sixth Form Induction.

As one journey ends, another journey begins…
