Thought For The Day – The Black And Gold Spirit at Home

Sunday July 5th

NHS 72

NHS 72 - Today we celebrate the 72nd birthday of the National Health Service.

Please join with TBSHS Interact, and the UK, in safely clapping to show appreciation for all NHS workers and carers past and  present at 5pm today.  Stay safe. We always remember the NHS every day.

The NHS, The Front Line,
Have been doing more than enough,
The key workers have stolen the heart of mine,
I can’t believe that people would be so tough,
To stand up to a worldwide virus,
Or risk their lives,
They are protecting us,
They are protecting a world that thrives,
And keeping us from Illness,
So many countless lives.

“Togetherness, compassion, spirit and support. The NHS embodies everything that is great about society “ states the accompanying tweet today from the UK Olympic Team.

Our thoughts and hearts go out to all those who have suffered and served and all those who are suffering and serving. Last night, St Paul’s Cathedral safely remembered all those who have passed away:  https://twitter.com/SkyNews/status/1279492743362949121?s=20
