Thought For Every Day - The Black And Gold Spirit At Home

Our Thought For The Day today and for every day is Albie Leak. Albie was the very best of TBSHS.

Our very appropriate words today come from Headteacher Mr. Reeve’s letter of tribute to Albie and letter of support for the community:

“In the early hours of Tuesday  morning, Albie Leak in 9 Meads sadly passed away.

Many of you, especially those in Year 9, will have known Albie as an enthusiastic, honest and friendly boy. He got involved in House events and was a good friend to many.

Albie’s passing will have a huge impact on our whole school community and he will be dearly missed by students and staff alike.

In normal circumstances, I would have been able to gather different year groups and inform you in person, but sadly we are not able to do that. I know that many students, particularly boys in Year 9, will find this situation very distressing and I want you to know that we will do all that we can to support you through this very challenging time and I very much hope that we will get back to normal before too long, have a suitable memorial service and celebrate Albie’s life together as a community.”

Mr. Reeve, Headteacher of The Bishop’s Stortford High School.

TBSHS will always be inspired by Albie, a shining star,  his brother and his family.

Those who pass away in our lives are stars who are always part of us and always guide us.

Please see Mr. Reeve’s letter for details of further support.  We do get upset about things in life. Please talk about any worries or concerns in life.

At 8.00 last night we once again clapped for our carers and key and essential workers.   This was a reminder of other inspirational individuals and stars in society and how we all support one another in very challenging times.
